My Opinion 

(5 / 5) The Corpse Queen has control of the undead and is making her own super-charged soldiers to fight Wren and anyone in her way.

I loved this duology! It is such a unique world with great characters. I did a quick reread of book one and I’m so glad I did. Not only did I remember the intricacies of the plot but I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Wren, Julien and Leo are back together to fight Wren’s dad and his push to take over the House of Bone. Wren’s eyes have been opened to the real version of him so she is doing everything in her power to stop him. Along the way, Hawk, Wren’s twin, joins the group and I couldn’t love this ragtag team more! Everything is not cohesive for them so problems arise but their goal is the same and they are willing to do everything it takes to achieve it. They are confronted with a world outside their borders that they were not prepared for and many trials arise. There are twists and betrayals, lying and fighting. The entertainment factor was high for me and I looked forward to reading this every day. Now to read more books by Prato!
